# Privacy — Citekit

Citekit is a downloadable zip. Areen Technology does not create a Citekit account for you. There is no login, no profile, and no in-app messaging.

## What we collect

- **If you only read the site:** the host may see standard web logs (IP, user-agent, path) needed to serve pages. This site does not ship a third-party analytics pixel in the product code.
- **If you buy:** Stripe Checkout collects payment details. Areen Technology does not store card numbers. Stripe sends you a receipt. We use the Checkout session id to confirm payment before the zip download.
- **If you email hello@areen.io:** we read the message so we can reply. Do not send secrets or full card numbers.

## What we do not do

We do not sell a contact list. We do not run a Citekit membership. We do not use the zip download as a tracking pixel. Agents fetching markdown with `Accept: text/markdown` get the same public copy humans read.

## Payments and Stripe

Payment is handled by Stripe. Their privacy policy covers card processing. After payment, keep the zip. There is no account portal to re-download later.

## Retention

Web logs are kept only as long as the host needs them to operate and debug the site. Checkout records live in Stripe. Emails to hello@areen.io are kept so we can reply and to handle a later receipt question. We do not build marketing audiences from Citekit buyers. There is no Citekit cookie banner because there is no Citekit account cookie.
